Connotations Photo Exercise

Wealth

 This is our first shot portraying wealth by having one of us throwing cash in the air as if he has all the money in the air. It is a medium low angled shot so we can clearly see both him and the money so we used a high shutter speed.

Friendship

With this long shot photo we took it from a slightly elevated position and waited till we saw a group of friends as it would look more real and spontaneous.

Desire

Desire was a simple photo we took it in a medium shot with a canted angle, we have will 'desiring' (reaching out) the Mcdonalds drink and sweets.

Love 

We used a low depth of field to create the blurred effect of the couple in the background and make the flower representing love become more prominent in the foreground.

Greed

 A quick medium shot Showing a poorer man with a few pieces of change and a rich man with a wallet packed with cash.

Purity

 An extreme to the max long shot of the sun we had the ISO turned up to 4000 as to make the sun just visible.

Strength

 With a long shot from a low position with have captured a raw power which represents strength by looking up at Wills towering figure.

Fear

With an over the shoulder long shot we can feel a menacing aura being aimed at the cowering figure on the floor. 

Danger

 A canted close up a of Zara holding  a lighter close to here face. What society is fire not a symbol of danger.

Poverty

Canted medium shot of me dressed in a way that today poor is seen as (Hoodie, hat and by a bin)

Weakness

Over the shoulder canted angle of Zara raising a fist while I cower away
